The Great Backyard Bird Count starts next week, from Friday, February 17th to Monday, February 20th. You can do a stationary count or a traveling count, and can count for as little as 15 minutes. The GBBC is a joint project of Audubon, The Cornell Lab of Ornithology, and Canadian partner Bird Studies Canada. A few bird photos I took at my grandparents’ house last week,
Love the Woodpecker PrairieBirder! I wish you luck with the GBBC.
Thanks Mia.
Wonderful shots and I also did a similar post to remind folks. Great luck with your count :)
Thank you Dan.
Hope you have a really interesting count. I usually record one day of birds visiting my yard and 1 or 2 days driving around to spots in the country – to try to get as diverse a count as possible. It’s always a fun weekend.
Last year I missed the GBBC, so I hope to make up for it this year. Thank you Kathy.
