I photographed this female Wilson’s Phalorope the other day as I was trying to photograph the Cinnamon Teal, but the phalaropes were more accommodating!

Great picture! I’ve never had much luck with photographing Phalaropes
I always get that kick of remembered surprise when I see a female Wilson’s Phalarope – because it looks (and behaves, in some ways) like the male in most avian species. Thanks for the picture, Charlotte.
A bird I haven’t heard of. Nice shot, Charlotte. Here’s my entry: https://anotherday2paradise.wordpress.com/2016/06/10/feathers-on-fridayegret-in-the-mist/
Great Picture!
So glad I saw your Feathers on Friday post. I am very new to birding and was at Frank Lake yesterday and was able to identify many of the birds with the exception of the Wilson’s Phalarope which you posted at the top of the page…I clicked your post and there was my bird. Thank you so much. https://maraya.smugmug.com/Landscapes/Birds/i-GWW7bR2/A
